Campaigners tackling period poverty, equality and the continuation of Scottish Folklore and folksong are among the 2019 Outstanding Women of Scotland Inductees.

The Forth Replacement Crossing project, with the dramatic Queensferry Crossing as its centrepiece, has won the Greatest Contribution to Scotland award at this year’s Saltire Infrastructure Awards with Glasgow’s Shieldhall Tunnel picking up the much-prized Infrastructure award.

Wednesday 22nd October saw the 32nd annual Saltire Society Civil Engineering Awards Ceremony in the National Musuem of Scotland where the Helix took home the award.

An adventurous occasion to profile Scottish talent, creativity & achievement across the full range of the Scotland’s imaginative powers.

The Saltire Society Awards for Civil Engineering was established in 1981, so has been going for over 30 years.
