One of our main interests is to offer a platform for information, disucssion and debate on the wide range of cultural interest that affect Scotland today. These pieces are offered in the hope that they will inform and stimulate. They express the considered judgements of their own authors, to whom complete freedom has been given; they are not taken as representing the policy of the Saltire Society, whose object is to promote that free and informal discussion without which no sound policy for Scotland's future can be shaped.
